Wine Familia Pacheco, Síntesis
Síntesis 2022 is a tribute to the passage of time, the wisdom of nature, and our evolution as a winery. The result of a careful selection of Monastrell and Syrah grapes from our own vineyards. Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels.
Vineyard: Monastrell: sourced from El Término de Arriba in Jumilla, with sandy soils containing pebbles and limestone, at an altitude of 700 meters, surrounded by Mediterranean scrubland. Syrah: sourced from the Estrecho de Marín valley, with poor sandy-loam soils, at an altitude of 360 meters.
Vinification: Vinified separately in open stainless steel tanks, with the bunch grape fully destemmed but the berries kept whole and uncrushed. Malolactic fermentation takes place in first-year 500-liter barrels, followed by 20 months of ageing.
Tasting note: On the nose, it displays dominant aromas of black fruit, with hints of cocoa powder and the distinctive notes of Mediterranean scrubland. On the palate, it is broad, flavorful, with a refreshing acidity that provides fluidity, juiciness, and persistence.
Best served with: Excellent to pair with cured meats, stews, rice dishes, and red meats.
